Holiday Wreaths Donated by Lily McLean

For the fourth year in a row, our Friend Lily McLean has donated wreaths for the porch and graves.  They honor the contributions of John and Elizabeth Hathorn and Ezra Sanford, from whom Lily is descended.  The Sanfords owned the house for nearly 100 years, enlarging it and honoring the legacy of Hathorn with their careful stewardship.

Thank you, Lily!

Arek Kwapinski and Sylwia Kubasiak, the home owners, joined me to hang the wreaths— they have made amazing progress on repairing and restoring the house in one year.  The totally rebuilt porch, with exact copies of the original columns, scraped and painted woodwork, original windows and shingles, now shine out across the fields.  And look at those solid stone steps! — Sue Gardner
